(Correspondent Yue Deng) Recently, the admission results of the 2019 Government-sponsored Senior Research Scholar, Visiting Scholar and Postdoctoral Program (referred to as the "Full Program") were announced, and teacher Tang Qianlin, associate professor of the School, has been funded. A total of 42 teachers of the University have applied for the "Full Program". After being evaluated by experts organized by the CSC, 38 teachers have been funded. As a visiting scholar, teacher Tang Qianlin has been invited to the Department of Chemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder to be engaged in theoretical study of chemical reactions in a high coverage environment. Professor Rex T. Skodje as his research collaborator, is a world-leading scholar in the field of theoretical research on gas phase and surface chemical reactions.
In addition, Dr. Li Peipei, a young teacher of the School, has been fully funded by the postdoctoral program of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and he will carry out postdoctoral research at its research center of advanced membrane and porous materials in the near future. KAUST is the first international and research university in Saudi Arabia, with the world's top scientific research equipment and laboratories. At present, KAUST does not enroll undergraduate students, but only recruits graduate students and doctoral students all over the world.
Associate Professor Tang Qianlin is engaged in the study of chemical reaction kinetics of solid surface which is a stable research direction, funded by the Department of Chemistry of National Natural Science Foundation of China. In recent years, he has published more than 10 high-quality papers with SCI as retrieval source in international mainstream journals as the first author, with the average impact factor of 3.806/article, and the highest impact factor of 6.759 for single paper. His papers have been cited for 31.5 times/article in average, and single paper has been cited for as high as 106 times.
Dr. Li Peipei is engaged in the controllable preparation of porous fluids and porous cross-linked membranes and their applications in the field of gas separation and electrochemical energy storage. Since the entry in June 2018, he has published a paper as the first author in the journalNanoscaleof SCI Zone I, which has been selected to Nanoscale HOT Article Collection in 2018 and 2019, and a paper as the co-first author in SCI Zone II.
In order to broaden the international horizons of teachers of our School, improve the overall teaching level and scientific research ability of teachers, and serve the training of talents well, the School has always encouraged teachers to study abroad for further education, which provides a strong guarantee for teachers to study abroad favourably. Our teachers have received support from different types of programs, with growing interest in going abroad for exchange, thereinto, 41% of the full-time teachers have more than one year of exchange and learning experience in international high-level scientific research institutes.
